Rayburn Hiram Holloway, 81, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas.
He was born in Cushman, Arkansas on June 29, 1935, son of the late Eva Mae (Burns) and Valmon Holloway. Rayburn spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was united in marriage to Wanda Mae Peterson on January 15, 1960 in Cushman, Arkansas.
Rayburn is survived by his wife, Wanda Holloway of the home; daughters, Lucreta Stevenson of Olive Hurst, California, Sharon Kay Collins and husband Andy of West Plains, Missouri, Linda Sue Weatherford and husband Dennis of West Plains, Missouri and Carol Jean Belcher and husband Steve of Wentzville, Missouri; 9 grandchildren, Melissa Weatherford of Springfield, Missouri, Amber Capps and husband Jeremy of West Plains, Missouri, Heather Cahoj and husband Philip of West Plains, Missouri, Christopher Short of Olive Hurst, California, Nic Perry of Kansas City, Kansas, Levi Collins and wife Elizabeth of West Plains, Missouri, Whitney Miller and husband Seth of Gainesville, Missouri, Larissa Stevenson of Vian, Oklahoma and Chassity Boger and husband Justin of Gray, Georgia; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Holloway of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Valmon Holloway and wife Jerrie of West Plains, Missouri, Allen Holloway of Paragould, Arkansas and Franklin Holloway and wife Debra of Ash Flat, Arkansas and sister, Morella “Jo” Files of Paragould, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Valmon and Eva Holloway; daughter, Joyce Ann Holloway and sisters, Doris Niederbrach, Verline Johnson and Ida Holloway.
