Ray Worth Christensen, 89, of Boise, passed away from causes incident to old age on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Ray was born August 12, 1925 in Moroni, Utah, the youngest child of Joseph and Myrtle Anderson Christensen. Growing up Ray attended school, worked on the family farm, and briefly served in the army during World War II. After the war Ray continued to work on the farm as well as at Thermoid Rubber Company. In 1948 he married his first wife, Geraldine Hatch. They had one daughter, Janile, in 1951.

In 1956 Ray and his family moved to San Jose, California where he worked as a machinist at General Electric for 29 years before taking early retirement. In 1974 he and Geraldine divorced and from 1981-1983 he was married to his second wife, Barbara Woods. After retirement from GE, Ray spent a dozen years working for a travel agency that catered to seniors where he was able to fulfill a long time desire to see the world. Ray moved to Boise in 2009 to be closer to family.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Myrtle; sister, Lois; brother, Ellis; sister-in-law, Lucille; nephew, Charles Christensen; ex-wives, Geraldine and Barbara; and grandson, Colin Wray Dredge. He is survived by his daughter, Janile; her husband, Stephen; their children, Nathaniel and Autumn; grandchildren, Brinna and Jaxon Dredge all of Boise; as well as his niece, Susan Anderson; her husband, Steven; and their children and grandchildren.
