Ray was born March 10, 1948, in Tempe Arizona to Thelma Walls.  Ray grew up in Tempe, and was part of the first graduating class of MCClintock Highschool.  Ray received a degree in fire science and went on to own and operate one of the largest fire sprinkler companies in Arizona at the time.  Ray retired after a serious motocycle accident.

Ray loved hunting, skiing, motorcycles and flying planes, but his greatest love was horses and team roping. Some of the families best memories are of roping in an arena somewhere.

Ray was married to Kori for 33 years, they spent many adventures together, sharing their lives with their children and grandchildren.

Ray Sayer was the strongest, toughest, most loyal man anyone would have been blessed to know.  The devil tried to hold him back with disability,  but he would not be held.  He travelled, camped, enjoyed boating and hunting right up until the end.  He loved with everything he had.  He will be truly missed and remembered.

Ray was preceded in death by his mother Thelma Reed, four brothers Cecil, Floyd, Eugene, Mark and grandson James Kinman.  He is survived by wife Kori, children Rodney Sayer, Lisa Dyer (Steve), Tammy Garcia (Aaron), Stacy Sayer, Brandy Busch (James), Klayton Sayer, Seth Sayer (Kyleah) and Shad Sayer, Siblings Nadine Cherney, Donna Kirk and Jerry Sayer.
