Ray Stanley Griffith passed peacefully in the comfort of his home on July 1, 2015 of natural causes; he was ninety one years old.
Ray was born May 29, 1924 in Rushville, Missouri to Charles Kilgore Griffith and Alice Aurora Griffith; the tenth child of twelve.
In his earlier years, he spent most of his time traveling the country operating large farming equipment. On February 21, 1952, he married the light of his life, Bernadine Johnson, and the two made their way to Meridian, Idaho. Ray bought a small farm in Meridian and raised his 5 children, as well as his 5 grandchildren. The family’s fondest memories are of those days on the farm. He is adored by all of his family, and could always be counted on in times of need. Ray loved to fish, hunt, and was an avid practical joker. We loved him to the moon and back.
He is survived by his sons, Eddie and Charles Griffith, and Charles’ wife, Debbie. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Ken Griffith, Gary Griffith, Lisa Barbion, Tracey Cox, Robert Griffith, and their spouses, as well as his thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, seven brothers, three sisters, and four of his six sons.
