He was born January 12, 1924 in New Castle, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in this area since 1962.
He retired February 1, 1975 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in Anderson after 331/2 years of service. He served in the US Navy from 1943-46 as a Seaman during WWII. He was involved in the Invasion of Italy – Sicily and Okanawa. He was aboard the USS Hubbard and the USS Melvin E. Knight. He was a member and Trustee of the UAW Local #662. He was a member of the Retirees NCSC Region 3 Hobby & Craft Show Raintree Woodcarvers in New Castle, Redbud Woodcarvers in Anderson and National Association of Senior Citizens. He was an original member of Traid.
He is survived by his wife whom he married August 27, 1949 in Knightstown: Bettie Russell Jordan. Four Children: Rex Allen & wife Sheri Jordan of Indianapolis, Debra Louisie Bushong, Micheal Ellis Jordan and Richard Lee & wife Terri Jordan; all of Anderson.
Eleven grandchildren Dustin Bushong of Indianapolis, Beth & husband Jeff Beeler of Fortville, Nicole Jordan of Anderson, Ryan Jordan of Anderson, Amy & husband Jeremy Dailey of Frankton, Kelly Tomlinson of Anderson, Corrie Jordan of Anderson, Sierra Jordan of Anderson, Mandy & husband Kevin Sherman of Anderson, Aprille & husband Michael Hutsinpiller of Marion and River Jordan of Anderson; eight great grandchildren, Wesley Beeler, Dustin Thomlinson, Justice Dailey, Brooklynn Dailey, Ashleigh LaRose, Haleigh Hutsinpiller, Aiden Sherman and Shannon Sherman; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy Reminton & Blanche Parnell Jordan and a brother,a sister and a grandson.
