Ray A. Mueller, 76, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at his home in Strasburg. CO surrounded by his family.
Ray Albert Mueller was born on February 18, 1937 in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Harold F. and Marcella V. (Bergland) Mueller. He grew up on the family farm SW of Manly, IA and attended country school and Manly High School, graduating in 1955 and then graduated from Iowa State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Aerospace and Electrical Engineering in May of 1961. He received his Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Colorado in May, 1970.
He was united in marriage to Kathryn Ann Thiel December 27, 1959. They would be blessed with four children, Brian James, Jon Brent, Karyn Ann and Andrew Ray.
Ray worked for Lockheed Aircraft Corporation in Burbank, CA from 1961 to 1963. From 1963 to 1993 he worked at Martin Marietta/Lockheed-Martin Corporation at Littleton, CO. He was a Systems Analyst with the Titan Missile Program.
Ray was a Lifetime Member of the Skyline Hunting and Fishing Club, holding the office of President for three terms.
