Ray L. Leonard, Sr., 84, of Hudson, passed away June 30, 2017 at his home. He was born August 25, 1932 in Bristol, VA to Grover Leonard and Lena Crow. He graduated from Bristol High School and joined the US Air Force where he served during the Korean conflict. Ray married Mary Reed on September 15, 1956.
Ray moved to Colorado in 1968 and began working for Gates Rubber Company at the Stapleton Airport as a mechanic. He moved to the Hudson area in 1970. Ray also worked as a car hauler for Commercial Carriers and Ryder for many years.
Ray is survived by four children, Joyce Knight of Commerce City, Ray Leonard, Jr. of Lochbuie, Mark Leonard of Hudson and Cindy Schwinsberg of Hudson; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
