Ray Eugene Powers, age 91, died peacefully in Boise, Idahoon December 29, 2009.
Ray was born at home in Sublett, Idaho and was the youngest son of Charles and Annie Powers. He joined the US Air Corps in 1942 to 1945 and flew more than 32 missions over Europe. After being discharged he came back to Idaho where he met and married Lillian Andrew. They were together for 57 years until she passed away in 2003. Ray remained an active member of the community enjoying the senior centers, Eagles and the VFW. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, watching college football and was always up to trying something new. All through his life he remained a loving husband, a determined father, a compassionate grandfather and a good friend to all. He would light up a room just with his presences and was always the bell of the ball.
