Born in Providence, he was the son of Maria Fatima (Sousa) Toste and the late Raul Oliveira Toste. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his partner Colleen Coleman; children Joshua Toste, Nicholas Toste and Emily Coleman and grandson Aiden Dargon. He was the brother of Antonio Toste, George Toste, Alda Toste and Charlie Toste.
