Raphaela (Rae) Pappacoda Redente, 89, of 82 Florence St., East Haven, passed away peacefully at home March 20, 2008. She was the widow of Andrew “Jackson” Redente. Mrs. Redente was born in New Haven Dec. 5, 1918, daughter of the late Nicola & Louise Cimino Pappacoda. She is survived by a son, Andrew Redente of Fresno, CA.;3 daughters, Carmel Staplins of Guilford, Louise Siminausky & Concetta Russell, both of East Haven; 3 brothers, Michael Pappacoda of Fresno, CA., Louis Pappacoda of North Haven & George Pappacoda of East Haven; 4 sisters, Mary Altieri of New Haven, Fannie Torello, Lucy Mansi & Caroline Carrera, all of East Haven; 12 grandchildren & 19 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Vincent Redente and 4 brothers, Andrew, Anthony, Lawrence & Salvatore Pappacoda.
