Raphael Samaroo, age 77, passed away January 16, 2023, in Middle River, Maryland. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Tazina Samaroo and his children Tony Samaroo, Maria Rasheed, Karen Knox, Rani Baksh (Neil), Lisa Hewick (Mark), Natalie Takos, and Ashley Jadoonanan (Ravind) along with 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Rani Sewdass and Dodo Seepersad.
Raphael was born on October 24, 1945, in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to the parents Lutchman Singh Samaroo and Gangadeha Samaroo. Ralph moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1970 and studied Automotive Mechanics at Lincoln Technical Institute. In 1977 he decided to expand his skills and knowledge by exploring the field of Aviation Mechanics and began a career at Lockheed Martin. Raphael practiced and shared his expertise at Lockheed Martin for 35 years and retired in 2008.
Raphael was a prayerful man who was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic religion at a church in San Fernando, Trinidad. As he established his home in Baltimore, Maryland he became a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish where he has been a member for 40 years.
Raphael was a very generous man who always donated to the less fortunate.
