He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Gentry; and his parents, Elgin and Toy Gentry.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Karen and Mike Blackwell of Dalton; grandson, Chris Blackwell; great grandson, Jordan Blackwell; and several nieces and nephews.
