Raoul W. Otero (Raulie) 70, of Roswell has gone to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2015 surrounded by his family and friends.
Raulie was born on August 13, 1945 to Lloyd and Celia Otero. On July 22, 1967 he married Judy Brady of Roswell.
Raulie earned his Bachelors degree in accounting from ENMU. He worked for the Airforce Audit Agency as an audit manager for 31 years. One of his most memorable times was during his employment was being stationed in Spain for 3 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Judy of 48 years; daughters Nicole Otero of Roswell, NM and Marlene and husband Rudy Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren Rudy and Alyssa Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX. He is survived by his four brothers Lloyd, Raymond, Bruno and Art Otero; step-sister Dolly Lopez; cousin Helen Berry and many loving nephews, nieces and friends.
Raulie was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. He will always be remembered for his beautiful and loving smile. He loved to travel and was always ready for new adventure. When he couldn’t travel he enjoyed fishing and going to the Casino.
Raulie is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Celia Otero; son Raoul Otero, Jr.; brother Thomas Otero; nephews Darryl, Raymond Lee, Chris Otero, Bryan Quich and niece Brandy Otero.
