Raoul D. Roy, 93, of Bristol, died on August 4, 2010 at Bristol Hospital surrounded by his family. Raoul was born in Fort Kent, Maine on September 28, 1916, the son of the late Denis and Celina (Dubois) Roy. Mr. Roy was a member of St.
He is survived by his children, Claude (Stella) Roy of Plantsville, CT, Armand Roy of Bristol, Claudette (Herman) Desprey of Forestville and Rinette R. Hosea of Royal Palm Beach, Florida; 11 grand children, 16 great grand children and 1 great-great grandson. Also, sisters, Jeanette (Vigue) Breard of Waterville, Maine, Madeleine Veilleux of Broad Brook, CT and Antoinette White of Naples, Maine and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his grandson, Ronnie Hosea – Feb. 8, 1980 and his son-in-law, Mitch Hosea – Sept. 8, 1993 and his daughter-in-law, Paula (White) Roy Feb. 16, 2010. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Delbridge Roy and Ferdinand Roy of CT and three sisters, Leona Daigle and Sadie Ouellette of CT and Annette Roy of Winslow, Maine.
