Randall Clark Mikesell Jr., 41, died in Newton, Iowa on Monday, March 30, 2021. He was born December 30, 1979 in Newton to Randall Clark & Melissa Dee (Wilcox) Mikesell, Sr.
Randy received his education in Newton, Iowa, remaining in central Iowa working different jobs. Never afraid of hard labor, his work varied from construction to management at the Salvation Army Store on S.E. 14th Street in Des Moines.
Randall’s weakness was women. He was a kid at heart, that’s why all the nieces and nephews adored him – partners in crime if “Uncle Wendy” or “Uncle Fandy” was leading the parade. His adult past times included fishing, music, photo bombing, and mushroom hunting (No! We won’t divulge his favorite spots!) Randy had a heart of gold and was more than willing to give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need.
Survivors include mother and father, Melissa and Ron McConnell, grandmother, Lois Hildenbrand, son, Nicholas Mikesell, sister, Alisha Johnston (and family), brothers, Nate and wife Chelsie McConnell (and family), Lance and wife Kris McConnell (and family), Ronnie McConnell (and family), niece, Leah Johnston (and family), as well as many other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his twin sons, Ethan & Evan Mikesell, and father, Randall Clark Mikesell, Sr.
