Randy was born in Casper, Wyoming, to Larry and Maxine (Peggy) Wagner. He lived a full life during his 58 years. Randy’s disability didn’t slow him down, nor did it limit our family from “normal’ activities, including camping, fishing, and road trips. Living most of his life in Golden, Colorado, he was active in Special Olympics, including track and basketball, and has numerous trophies and ribbons to show for it. In 1983 he participated in the International Special Olympics at Louisiana State University. Randy loved riding bikes, listening to music, especially Johnny Cash, and hanging out with the neighborhood kids. In 1981 he graduated from Margaret Walters School. He lived in various group homes on the Front Range, and in 2003 he moved to the Grand Junction Regional Center. In Grand Junction, just as in Golden, Randy made friends everywhere he went; he never met a stranger.
Randy is survived by his father Larry, sister Pam (Christopher), nephew Kyle (Erin) and great-nephew Beckett. Randy also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss him deeply. He left an impression on everyone he met and he will not be forgotten.
