Randy L. Mohler, 66, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday evening, January 26, 2022 at Elkhart General Hospital, following an extended illness. Randy was born on April 26, 1955 in Pendleton, Indiana to the late Victor Mohler and Donna (Kellogg) Mohler.
He married Rebecca Sue “Becky” Bigler on February 12, 1977 in South Bend. Becky passed on February 21, 2017 after 40 years of marriage. Surviving is a daughter Stephanie D. (Christian) Nelson of Elkhart; and a nephew Charles Mohler of Pendleton.
Randy’s parents, as well as two brothers John and infant Charles Mohler and a sister Suzie Mohler preceded him in death.
Randy worked as a machinist for Reese Products in Elkhart for many years. As a kid growing up in the sixties and seventies, he developed a love for classic cars and was very involved building incredibly detailed 1/25th scale model cars. He won some competitions with his model cars and was a member of a local model car club, where the guys got together to talk about modeling and shoot the breeze. He was a huge animal lover and will be missed by his fur baby Trixie the Pitbull. Randy liked classic rock and spending time with his family.
