He was born February 11, 1946 in Muncie, Indiana, the son of the late James and Janellen (Wise) Ratican. Randy was a graduate of Muncie Central High School and later served six years in the Indiana National Guard and was employed by General Motors for 37 ½ years.
Randy enjoyed horseracing, being outdoors, sports and driving sports cars but more than anything, he loved being a family man.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon K. (Applegate) Ratican; two daughters, Rebecca M. Lipscomb and Angela (Lipscomb) Saucier; one son, Christopher Lipscomb; one brother, Rex Ratican; six grandchildren, Brittany, Lynn, Via May, Krista Marie, Jade Nichole, Saydee Kay, Krystina Marie, Christian W. Louis, and Brandon; six great-grandchildren; and several aunts and cousins. His dedicated puppy companion Desi will also miss Randy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; James and Janellen Ratican; son Jonathan W. Lipscomb, and one brother, Ricky Ratican.
