Randy Garner, 65, of Jacksonville, died Friday, December 9, 2011.
He was born April 23, 1946, in Carrollton, the son of Arthur and Mary Walton Garner. He married Judy Homer on August 21, 1966, in Literberry and she survives.
He is also survived by one sister, Cathy (Ronnie) Howard of Surprise, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Beverly Brown; and one brother, Donald Garner.
Mr. Garner had been a mechanic at E.W. Brown Motors and then Jacksonville Chrysler-Dodge for over 30 years. More recently he had been a mechanic for Western Asphalt in Jacksonville. Randy was a member of the Western Illinois Tractor Club. He enjoyed spending time on his old tractor and traveling the countryside on his 4×4 Cub Cadet Volunteer with his dogs.
