Randy G. Nettles, a native and resident of Carlton, traded time for eternity on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at his residence. He was born March 28, 1951 to the parentage of Ezra Nettles and Georgia Bush Nettles. A faithful and dedicated member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, he served on the board of deacons.
Randy enjoyed spending time with his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Eugene Nettles and Gillis Nettles; sisters, Reba Nettles Creer, Gloria Jean Nettles Moss and Doris Nettles Wright.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving and devoted wife, Mary Jackson Nettles of Carlton; six loving children, Randy (Shanda) Dean of Leroy, Cynthia Dean and Ezra Nettles, both of Jackson, Shelexis Nettles of Toddtown and Kendrick Nettles and Sylvanna Nettles, both of McIntosh; adopted son, Jeremiah Jackson of Michaelville, Ga.; six loving brothers, Charles (Lillian) Nettles and Elbert (Linda) Nettles, both of Grove Hill, Eddie Nettles and Jerry (Debra) Nettles, both of Carlton, James (Brenda) Nettles of Calvert and Fredrick (Pam) Nettles of Prince George, Va.; four loving sisters, Deloris Nettles Richardson of Mapleton, Ga., Marie Nettles Gray of Los Angeles, Calif., Margaret (Eddie) Purifoy and Thelma Nettles Carey, both of Jackson; 10 grandchildren; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
