Those left to honor Randy’s memory are his wife, Barb of Monroe; daughter, Kim (Mike) Herbold of Newton; two sons, Todd Mich of Monroe and Jack Mich of Monroe; his two grandchildren, Jake and Zach; brother, Tom Couper of Newton; two sisters, Beth Couper of Arcadia, Florida and Nancy Couper of Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents, James P. and Diana L. (Jones) Couper and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Randy served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Randy was a graduate of Newton High School in 1966.
Randy was a member of the Marion County Gun Club. He enjoyed being with family and friends, playing his guitar and having sing-a-longs, loved to go deer and duck hunting, skeet shooting, he was a multi year Gold Medal winner in skeet shooting at the Iowa Games, and he enjoyed his trips to Canada.
