Randall “Randy” Heern, 58, of Centralia, Il passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at HSHS St. Josephs Hospital in Breese, of cancer. Randy was the son of Rodney and Nadine Heern of Jasper, In and the late Janet Niedbalski of Centralia. Randy was raised by his grandparents, William and Audrey Heern.
Randy married Tammy Berry- Thomas, with whom he had four children Justin Heern and his wife Nicky, Jill Woolford, Jacob Heern, and Jordan Heern. They later divorced. He then married Leah McConnaughay on June 20th, 1998. They have Joshua Heern and Randi Heern and fiancee Ricky Lincoln; stepchildren Abigail Boyle and husband Luke and Matthew Hill and wife Krystal. Randy had worked for Canadian National Railroad for 20 the Centralia Seals Swim Team at the “ old” Fairview pool. Randy’s life will forever be remembered by all those who loved and cherished his “smile, tender heart”.
Randy was much loved by his brothers and a sister; Terry and Carla Heern of Salem, Il., Mark and Linda Heern of Centralia and sister Jackie Young of Centralia. Aunts and Uncles; Vivian and Glenn Winkler of Centralia, Art and Beverly Clark of Columbus, In. Two cousins Sheila Dagg of Centralia and Sonya Greathouse of Columbus, In. Randy lived his life for his grandkids, I can’t think of a weekend that he didn’t have a grandkid at his side. His love for 29 ; Dylan. Ashton, Gracelyn, Jaxon, Roman, Savannah, Brooke, Kayln, Taylor, Jacob, Aiden, Damon, Jordan, Emma, Gavin, Aubrey, Maddox, Myka, Kaydence, Rebekah, Harper, Joshua, Ava, Hadlea, Everlee, Timmy and Dallas.
Randy was preceded in death my his mother, Janet Niedbalski; grandparents Willam and Audrey Heern, Charles and Opal Borders; grandson, Jeremy Heern; aunts Pat Ward and Marilyn Donahue.
