Ramona Ahumada 79 passed on to a better life on April 15, 2009. Ramona was surrounded by her families that were the most important people in her life. Ramona Ahumada has made Flagstaff her home since 1951.
Ramona is survived by Augustine Ahumada her lifelong companion and beloved husband for 59 years. Gus and Ramona had 5 children George (Bertha), Ron, Chuck (Lisa), Patty (Alfonzo) and Joanie who passed away in 1986. She also was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Ramona was the owner, creator, and chef at Ramona’s Cantina. Ramona loved her restaurant which her and Gus managed and operated for 17 years. Ramona’s Cantina gave her so much pleasure to cook, talk with friends, and to give back to her community.
Ramona was very involved in Flagstaff and was a member of the St. Pius choir, and the Soroptimist Club.
Ramona will be missed by all of those that touched her life and loved her. Ramona was known for her sense of humor, love for her family, and her dedication to her husband.
