McWherter, Ralph 84 passed away Friday October 22, 2021 under Hospice care at St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa, Florida following a brief illness. Ralph was born in Winamac, Indiana to the parents of Lester and Irene McWherter. He graduated from Winamac High School in 1954 where he was active in 4H.
After graduation he worked for the Northern Indiana Power company until retirement. In the 1980’s Ralph moved to Oldsmar, ultimately working for the Oldsmar Flea Market for a number of years. More recently he worked as a volunteer for Oldsmar Cares. He was an active member of the North Bay Moose Lodge #2373.
Ralph loved all animals and enjoyed feeding and watching them. It was a love he developed as a young man raising livestock while growing up on his family’s farm.
Ralph is survived by his long-time companion Babe Wright and they had many happy years together. He is survived by Babe; his sister-in-law Della McWherter; and extended family and friends who are mourning his loss, as are his pets.
