Ralph Wilton Thacker, age 81 of Tarrant, AL passed away on March 11, 2013. He was a member of Rock-First United Methodist Church where he served as Treasurer and on the Board of Trustees. He was honored to have served our country as a member of the United States Air Force and retired from ACIPCO with over 40 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Shirley Kite Thacker; daughter Teresa Thacker McElroy (Sam); son, Timothy Ralph Thacker (Kim); sister, Sue Brackin; brothers, Norman and Wayne Thacker; grandchildren, Anthony McElroy (Missy), Garrett McElroy (Leah), Alex Thacker, Elizabeth Thacker, Andrew Thacker; great granddaughter, Lacey Ruth McElroy; one great grandson, Brody Thacker McElroy, due to arrive in July; godchildren, Traci Fields Ross, Kristi Williamson Barber and Brent Williamson. His was a life of service to others through his gift of “fixing things” for the church, neighbors, widows or anyone in need.
