RALPH B. MARQUEZ, 66, a resident of Bayard passed away in Las Cruces surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 21, 2010.
Ralph was born March 20, 1943 in Vanadium to Manuel and Sally (Barragan) Marquez. Ralph was a wonderful son, loving husband, excellent father, caring grandfather and a great friend. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping. He enjoyed sports, baseball, football especially any team that would beat the Cowboys, and he enjoyed the company of all his many friends and family. He was known as “Terembie”, “The Dog” and “Top Dog”.
Ralph is preceded in death by his grandmother Cruz Marquez, his father Manuel Marquez, his father-in-law George Dominguez, an uncle Ramon Marquez, a cousin Freddy Flores, a nephew Daniel “Boonie” Garcia, a brother Johnny Chavez and a son Junior Ralph Marquez.
Ralph is survived by his wonderful childhood sweetheart and wife of 48 years Minnie (Dominguez) Marquez; his mother Sally Marquez and Jenny Dominguez; his brother Rey Marquez wife Yvonne and daughters Tanya and Michelle and his great-nephew Raul; his sons Manuel Marquez and sons Stephen and Timothy, Ralph Marquez wife Nancy and daughters Pamela, Ashley and Iesha, George Marquez wife Sonia and sons Daniel, Johnathan, Xavier, Cedrick, Teryn and daughter RaeJean; his daughter Christina Peña and sons Matthew and Christopher and daughter Erica and his great-granddaughter Aimerie Peña, and his daughter Bernadette Marquez. He is, also, survived by his uncle and aunt Rudy and Emma Marquez.
Ralph had numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends. He always took care of his family and loved being with his grandchildren.
