Ralph J. Pinghera passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on August 15, 2021. He was born to Nick & Millie Pinghera on March 6, 1925, in Queens, New York.
Ralph was a proud WWII veteran, who served his country for four years and was a purple heart medal recipient. When he returned home from the war, he married his high-school sweetheart, Bernice on September 21, 1946. They had 75 wonderful years together.
He and Bernice had 2 children, Ralph Pinghera and Susan (Tim) Wardlow; 3 grandchildren, Michelle (Dan) Itken, Joe (Maile) Migliore, & Anthony Simpkins; 4 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Itken, Adriana Migliore, Dominic Migliore, & Super Kate Itken.
Ralphs’ greatest joy came from being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, golfing, playing card games, and passing on stories to his family. He enjoyed memories he made with friends from Spanish Lakes Fairways, especially “The Good Time Boys +1” with Tony Canu & Rip Racipio.
