Ralph Arndt (9/25/37-12/17/20) was born in Chicago, IL, to Erwin and Betty Arndt. Preceding him in death are his sister, Janet (Guy) Batchelder and brother Glenn (Cheryl) Arndt. Surviving are his children: Michael (Marianne) Schmidt (VA), Donald Peters (OR), Marlene (Randy) Nickerson, George (Wendy) Arndt, John (Angie) Arndt of New Carlisle, and Glenn (Amy) Arndt of Connersville, IN. Children preceding him in death are Daniel Gallagher and Martha Gallagher. Also surviving are two nieces (Kristen and Jill) and two nephews (Glenn and William). Ralph retired from his work as a brick mason and moved to New Carlisle to enjoy his children and grandchildren-15, great-7 and great-great-2. Attending New Prairie activities and sporting events of which his sons and grandchildren participated brought him happiness. Making maple syrup and attending the breakfast club with his Hamilton Communities friends was also a favorite past time. Ralph was proud of his Army service years and of being a marksman.
