Ralph Eugene Herman, 90, passed away May 8, 2013 in Canon City, Colorado. He was born October 11, 1922 in Canon City to David H. and Jessie J. (Smith) Herman. After graduating High School, Ralph joined the Army Air Force and trained as a fighter Pilot where he flew ground attack missions in Italy during WWII. Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the Air Force with the rank of Captain, Ralph and his wife Bonnie settled in Pueblo. He worked as an electrician and advanced to President and CEO of State Incorporated Industrial Construction Company in Pueblo, CO. After the company sold to Newberry Energy, Ralph was selected as CEO of Newberry Energy in Phoenix, AZ, where he worked until he retired in 1986. Upon retirement, Ralph and Bonnie moved back to Canon City where they were raised. Ralph enjoyed traveling, and took his wife and children on numerous adventures throughout his life. He lived a happy long life, but will be missed tremendously by his family and friends. Mr. Herman is survived by his son, Rand (Teresa); and one grandson, Jesse Herman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; and daughters, Robin and Renee.
