In his leisure time, Ralph enjoyed reading, pumping iron, option trading, politics, and teaching others about the bible.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Maria Luisa Esparza; his daughter, Robin Athanas; his brothers, Beto, Luis, Romeo, Nicho, Elfego, Oberlin, Raul, and Carlos; and his sisters, Celeste, Guillermina, Maria Luisa, and Anita.
Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis Esparza; theirchildren and spouses, Ralph and Orkhon Esparza Jr., R.C. and Jane Alexandra Esparza, Rod and Chrisina Esparza, Ronnie Esparza, and Rhonda and John Ferrone, Tom Athanas; and their grandchildren, Alex, Traci, and Dylan Athanas; Tyler Esparza-Powell; Alexandra and Christian Ferrone; Christopher and Layla Esparza; and his faithful companions Kika, Angus, and Hamish.
