Ralph Earl Davis, Jr., 84, of 300 King’s Way Rd., Kings Grant Retirement Community died Friday, February 19, 2010 at Stanleytown Health Care in Bassett. Born September 29, 1925 in Arcade, NY, he was a son of the late Ralph Earl Davis, Sr. and Myrtle Breeser Davis. Mr. Davis was married 64 years to Evelyn Shemming Davis who survives. Mr. Davis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was retired Quality Control Supervisor for Eastman Kodak Company, Paper Division and was a VITA volunteer for 25 years. He served in the United States Army during WWII. In addition to his wife, Mr. Davis is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Ruthe Davis Brown and husband Donald O. Brown of Reston, VA and Roxanne Davis Barrett of Rochester, NY; a son and daughter-in-law, Randall Earl Davis and Susan E. Davis of Rochester, NY; a sister, Betty Davis Stern of Cincinnati, OH and a brother, Milton A. Davis and sister-in-law, Nancy B. Davis of Martinsville. Also surviving are five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
