Ralph E. Rowe, 89, of South Lebanon, OH, passed away on January 2, 2014 at his residence. He was born on August 20, 1924 in Dugger, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson. Ralph graduated from Dugger High School. He served his country as Corporal in the Marines during WWII. He was a Lab Engineer for Delco Remy Division of General Motors for 38 years. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates, playing one year with their farm team. He also played semi-pro baseball with CIO 663, Anderson Post #127, Fallstaff, Middletown Oilers, Hockett, Fortville, Red Men, and with Delco Remy. He coached the Hoosier Market Babe Ruth team, coaching them to a 3rd place finish in the Babe Ruth World Series. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, and Indiana University Basketball fan. He enjoyed gardening, and was an expert pool player. Ralph was a 60 year member of Noble Street/New Horizons United Methodist Church. Ralph is survived by his loving spouse of 67 years, Mavis Little Rowe, daughter, Terri Dan Hallenbeck of South Lebanon, OH, granddaughter, Kari Dan Fagin of Mason, OH, great-grandchildren, Anna, and Jacob Fagin. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Rowe, mother, Blanche Robertson, and his father, Lorenzo Rowe.
