Ralph Bianco6/3/1921 – 4/22/2020Ralph Bianco was born on June 3, 1921, to Antonio Bianco and Carmella Carosella. He is survived by two sons, Michael and Dr. James Bianco and wife Maryann (nee Marucci) grandchildren James Lee Bianco Jr., Kelley Ann (Komar), and Suzanne Elizabeth (Montanye), five great grand children and Jessica Egan, his companion of 14 years.Ralph attended public school in Haverford Township. As a young man, Ralph spent much of his time working in his father’s various businesses. In 1940 he was drafted into the military where he served for 38 months in the Army Air Force during WWII. He was an airplane mechanic and served in seven countries throughout North Africa and Europe. He attained the rank of Corporal and received an honorable discharge in 1945. Ralph was very proud of his military service and his home is adorned with many pictures and memorabilia of his time in the military.Following his discharge from the military in 1945, he married his longtime sweetheart, Grace Marie Barone. They were married for 53 years until she passed away in 1999. Together they raised two sons, Michael, who worked for 32 years in the Haverford Township School District as a teacher and administrator and James, who studied at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and became a veterinarian and owner of the Ardmore Animal Hospital. In 1952 Ralph opened his own electronics business in Ardmore which he owned and operated for 53 years before retiring. Since retiring, his greatest interest had been music. He built his own recording studio in his home and spent many hours playing and recording music. He played with several groups made up entirely of senior citizens. Their audiences were generally groups of seniors who enjoyed the “old time tunes.”In life Ralph had many friends and he enjoyed sharing time with them almost daily. He and his companion, Jessica, frequently traveled, attended local dances, and enjoyed time at many of the local casinos.Ralph was a unique man. He enjoyed the company of his family and friends and will be missed by everyone who knew
