Ralph Berry
May 23, 1936 – March 10, 2016 passed peacefully in his sleep. He was preceded in death by his parents Oriole and Ralph Berry and his identical twin brother, Ray Berry. Ralph is survived by his wife of 51 years Maria, his sisters Mittie Erickson (Jim) and Dixie Hogan (Vince), children, Carolynne, Frank, Sonja (John McGraw), Jennifer (Duane Abbott), Ingrid (JR Peck), and 13 grandchildren.

Ralph was born in Miami, Arizona, graduated from Miami High School and the University of Arizona with a B.S. in electrical engineering. Upon graduation he was drafted into the US Army and returned to work for SRP. Ralph’s work as a consulting engineer took him and his family to Pakistan, Brazil, Indonesia, and Nicaragua providing electricity to people in developing countries. Upon return to the USA, he became a professional engineer and worked for APS as manager of extra high voltage systems. Ralph was the APS representative to the WECC.

Ralph was an avid golfer, bowler, and runner. He ran 8 marathons, loved to play bridge, hike, and camp. At home he was known as the “Man of Steel” who could fix everything.
