Ralph Arthur Douglas, 62, of Markleville, passed away on June 6, 2015 at Community Hospital Anderson. He was born on November 3, 1952 in Anderson, and resided most of his life in Markleville.
Ralph graduated from Pendleton High School, and from Cincinnati University. He retired in 2012 as a Firefighter for the City of Anderson. He was a member of Local 1262 Firefighters Union.
He enjoyed playing softball, coaching little league football, and baseball, fishing, antique cars, and watching his grandchildren play sports. His greatest joy was being a Grandpa.
Ralph is survived by his loving spouse wife, Candace Douglas of Markleville, children, Matt Grimes of Anderson, Wes Douglas of Anderson, Heather (Chris) Hunter of Pendleton, siblings, Ronny Douglas of Pendleton, Mike (Lee) Douglas of Pendleton, Steve (Janie) Douglas of Chesterfield, Verle (Linda) Stamm of Anderson, mother-in-law, Betty M. Wable of Bradenton, FL, brother-in-law, Brett (Karen) Wable of Gainesville, FL, brother-in-law, Guy (Ann) Wable of Palmetto, FL, grandchildren, Austyn, Hunter, Drake, Gage, Lilly, Wyatt, Carson, Abby, and Vaughan, several nieces, nephews, and loving friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie “Jewell” Douglas, father, Melvin Douglas, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
