Ralph Anthony “Tony” Ross, 78, of Rising Sun died August 30,2010 at The Waters of Rising Sun. Tony, son of Ralph E. and Mary Alice Walter Ross, was born November 17, 1931 and raised in Portsmouth, Ohio. A graduate of St. Mary’s high School, he served with the US Navy and attended the University of Cincinnati.
Tony retired from B. W. Roger & Co. in 1999. He served on the Rising Sun Port Authority, Rising Sun Economic Development Commission, deputy mayor of Rising Sun, Rising Sun-Ohio County Zoning Commission, Indiana Tourism Review Board, St. Vincent De Paul, Knights of Columbus, Laughery Valley Fish and Game Club, 4-H archery and hunter’s education instructor and FBC, Florence, Indiana.
