Rafael Herrera Garcia, 78, of Oxnard, passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at Ventura County Medical Center.
He was born December 9, 1932 in Durango, Mexico and had been a Ventura County resident for 55 years.
Prior to his retirement he was employed by Chase Bros for 30 years as a Forman.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Eva Palos.
Rafael is survived by his sons, Mario Garcia, Arnold Garcia and Rafael Garcia Jr.; siblings, Elias Garcia, Maria Garcia, Celia Jimenez, Maria Luisa Nevarez, Amparo Nevarez, Luz Mendoza, Manuela Garcia; and his grandchildren, Joel Garcia, Ariana Garcia and Lucas Garcia
Viewing is planned for Wed., June 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m.
