Rafael Cruz, 87, of O’Fallon, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at his residence.
Rafael was born October 15, 1933 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He spent his career as a steel worker for Inland Steel, and he was involved with Our Lady of Guadalupe in Chicago, IL.
Rafael was preceded in death by his parents, Andres Cruz, and Maria Cruz (nee Ayala), two brothers, Andres Cruz and Anthony Cruz.
Surviving are his beloved wife; Kusol Cruz (nee Narksong), one child; Gilberto (Jennifer) Cruz, three sisters; Carmen Velazquez of Chicago, IL, Gloria Milagro of Florida, and Angela Cruz of Puerto Rico. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
