Raeford Layne Landrum, II, age 17, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010. Born in San Antonio, TX, on June 16, 1993, he was the son of Raeford L. Landrum and Michelle Smith Landrum. A life long resident of Boerne, he had attended the Watermark Church. He had been a student at Boerne High School and was a cancer survivor. In addition to his parents, Raeford is survived by his sister, Kylee Michelle Landrum; great grandmother, Clara Lee Timmons; paternal grandfather, Wilfred “Lucky” Landrum; paternal grandmother, Patricia Landrum; maternal grandfather, Walter Heinig, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Judy Heinig; uncles , Thearon Landrum and his wife, Maura, Nathan Landrum, and Walter F. Heinig, III; aunts, Brandie Smith, Donna Heinig, and Diana Heinig; cousins, Amanda Markworth, Courtney Blohm, Evan Ryker, and Tessa, Caleb, Molly, Daniel, and Madalyn Landrum; numerous great aunts, uncles, and cousins. Raeford will be most remembered for his well-mannered, respectful disposition, heartwarming smile and mischievous grin. He made friends easily because he had a heart the size of Texas. He was witty and made people laugh. His most prized possession was his “03 dual-chipped, coal rollin”, lifted, green 5.9 Cummins Diesel. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, softball, and most of all, chilling with his friends. Raeford is already deeply missed and will be forever loved.
