Rae Salisbury Richards passed away peacefully at home June 3, 2008. Rae was born Rae Barnard Salisbury in NYC July 8, 1917. She is survived by her three children, Roslyn Balsam, Jae Richards and Scott Richards and her five grand children, Dawn Balsam, DJ Balsam, Dylan Richards, Nathan Richards and Zachary Richards. Rae was a graduate of her beloved Lasell College class of 37. Rae was prolific in her contributions to the community. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a recently honored 50 year member of the White Plains Women’s Club and St Bartholomew’s Ladies auxiliary. Rae was active in SCOPE adult education at Wainwright House where she took varied classes and gave poetry readings. Rae delighted many audiences with readings of her own poetry and other favorites.
