Wilbert W. “Wip” Rademacher, 82, of Albers, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Countryside Manor in Aviston. He was born November 20, 1930 in Albers son of Frank and Rose (Kassen) Rademacher.
He is survived by a brother, Joe (Marge) Rademacher of O’Fallon; nieces and nephews, Donna (Joe) Buchheit, Debbie (Manny) Ruiz, Joe (Tammy) Rademacher, Kevin (Linda) Rademacher, Diane (Jim) Wellen, Stanley (Debbie) Schomaker, Dale (Joyce) Schomaker, Dennis Schomaker, and Marilyn (Donald) Stafford; and great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann E. Schomaker; a brother-in-law, Joseph H. Schomaker; great nephews, Michael “Dub” Wellen and Brandon Rademacher; and a great niece, Grace Rademacher.
Mr. Rademacher was a TSgt missler in the United States Air Force where he served during the Korean and Vietnam wars; he was also a former Clinton County Deputy Sheriff. He was a member of St. Bernard Parish in Albers; Trenton VFW Post 7983 and the Catholic War Veterans Post 1780. He was also a member and past commander of the American Legion Post 1026 in Albers. Wip was very active in local veteran’s affairs.
