Rachel Secrist Copelan
Rachel Secrist Copelan, age 49, of the Greshamville Community, died on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Beech Grove, Indiana on September 7, 1964, she was the daughter of George Arlen Secrist and the late Betty Louise Hawkins Secrist. She graduated from Athens Tech and on June 17, 1992 she married Wheeler Rossman “Ross” Copelan III. She was very talented in arts and crafts and worked for Happy Valley Pottery.
She is survived by her husband Wheeler Rossman “Ross” Copelan III; father, George Arlen Secrist; daughter, Katie Copelan; son, Tony Williams; sister, Patrice Secrist; three brothers, Tim Secrist, Phil Secrist and Mark Secrist. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pam Secrist Kelly.
