Rachel J. “Jean” Leary (nee:Stokley) of Edgewater Park, passed away in Samaritan Hospice Inpatient, Mt. Holly on Sunday at the age of 88. Born on the family farm in Burlington Township, Jean was a longtime area resident who worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Burlington and Beverly.
Jean loved to bake and enjoyed cooking, needlework and crafts. Jean was predeceased by her grandson Kenneth James Leary. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Arthur Leary, Jr. and their children: Robert S. (Jackie) Leary, Kathy (the late Richard) Morgan; grandchildren R. Scott (Lisa-Beth) Leary, Christy McCurdy, Patrick Morgan; great-grandchild Maureen McCurdy, and her dear dog Ginger.
