CLARK Rachel A. Clark, 92, of London, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Thursday, January 18, 2018. Rachel was born in West Union, Ohio, to James B. and Bartha (Blair) Carter on March 17, 1925. She’s preceded in death by her parents, brothers Cloyce and Clyde Carter, sister Elizabeth Stout, daughter Linda K. White, and granddaughter Juanita White. Survivors include her daughter Cookie (Dennis) Ooten, granddaughter (who was her special caregiver) Tammy Renfrow, her twin granddaughters Kimberly and Katie Ooten, along with her grandson William White; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as her dearest friend Rennie Miller and many other friends. Rachel was a member of Pentecostal Temple of Faith Church for 25 years until she could no longer attend because of her health. Although her ability to attend church changed, her faith and ability to quote the bible never wavered. Some of her many hobbies included working her crossword puzzles, completing many jigsaw puzzles and playing solitaire. If she wasn’t occupied by that, she never failed to crack a joke, boss others around or educate you on something new. If you knew her, she always had a piping hot cup of coffee sitting right next to her and an assortment of cookies and sweets in the kitchen. In her early years, Rachel enjoyed cooking holiday dinners for the family, which included her famous chicken and noodles. Rachel was a personified dictionary with never ending knowledge until the very end.
