Rabon Dee Thompson, 78, of New Whiteland, died April 1, 2022. Rabon was born the son of Willie Woodrow Thompson and Ina Jewel (Watson) Cunningham on July 2, 1943 in Red Oak (Pea Ridge) Tennessee.
Rabon was retired from Center Grove School as a custodian after 18 years. He will forever be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who loved to listen to music, watch sports, fishing and most of all, the family reunions in Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Gloria Jean (Nicholson) Thompson, son, James Thompson, brothers: Willie Fay and Randall Lee Thompson.
He leaves behind sons, Kenny (Sam) Thompson of Whiteland, Tim (Lynda) Thompson of Franklin, daughters, Melissa (Brad) Holzhausen of Whiteland and Miranda (Jerry) Turnley of Whiteland. Grandchildren; Kenny Thompson, Jr., Anthony Thompson, Stacy Hadley, Mackenzie Thompson, Jacob Holzhausen, Tabaitha Holzhausen, JJ Turnley and Elias Turnley, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Cliff Cunningham and Danny Cunnington, sister, Connie (Cunningham) Couch, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
