R. Watson Bell

Bell, R. Watson, age 94, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on October 17, 2022.  Watson was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on January 25, 1928.  He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1951 where he was a member of the UT baseball team for 3 years including the 1951 team that was runner-up in the College World Series.  He served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War.  His business career included 15 years with General Electric in various financial management positions; 8 years with Lenox, Incorporated where he was Chief Financial Officer; 9 years with Mohawk Data Sciences where he was Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration and member of the Board of Directors; and 5 years with Pandick Technologies where he was President.  Watson is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jeanne Bell, the love of his life.  During their marriage, Watson and Jeanne lived successively in Schenectady, New York; Phoenix, Arizona; Princeton, New Jersey; Mendham, New Jersey; Scottsdale and Chandler, Arizona.  He is also survived by daughters Anna Watchman (Darrell) of Chandler, AZ, Cynthia Kueffner (Roland) of Scottsdale, AZ, Jennifer Capps (James) of Lakewood, CO, and sons James (Tammy) of Queen Creek, AZ, and son Douglas (Barbie) of Chandler, AZ.  There are nine grandchildren:  Justin Norland, Matthew Watchman, Nicholas Bell, Devon Bell, Brandon Bell, Bryn Bell, Carson Capps, Hannah Bell, and Keaton Capps.
