Mr. R. C. Gray, 87, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Gray was a native and lifelong resident of Rankin, County, MS. He was a high school graduate of Crossroads High School. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II, having served in the 5th Army, 85th Division, 337th Infantry, Company H. He later worked for 37 years as a PBX repairman for AT&T Company. He was also a farmer who loved the outdoors and loved his gardens.
Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Willie Mae Brown Gray; his son, Glen Gray; and grandson, Nathan Gray.
Survivors include his three children, Judy White, Janet Townsend and husband, Eugene, and Carl Gray and wife, Francine all of Pelahatchie, MS; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
