Quintella Wallace Coleman was born in Pushmataha, Alabama on May 28, 1956 to the late Deacon Rufus Wallace, Sr. and the late Willie Jane Knighton Wallace. Quintella accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member and served as secretary for many years.
She graduated from Choctaw County High School in 1974, and continued her education at Meridian Community College, where she majored in Computer Science. In April 1976, Quintella started at Vanity Fair in Butler, AL and worked as a seamstress for 21 years prior to the plant closure.
July 1981, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Verdie Lee Coleman Jr. and to this union 2 daughters were born, Veronda Lekeshia Coleman Willard and Vernito Lekendra Coleman.
She enjoyed reading her bible, shopping, and spending time with family. She was devoted to helping others in any way she could and was a jack of all trades.
She was truly a woman of God, and on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 God called a faithful servant home. She closed her eyes and went to eternal rest at home. Quintella was preceded in death by her parents: Deacon Rufus Wallace, Sr. and Willie Jane Knighton Wallace; 1 sister, Callie Wallace; 2 brothers, Deacon Daniel Wallace and James Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: 2 devoted daughters; Veronda (John) Willard, Pike Road, AL; Vernito Coleman, Meridian, MS; 9 grandchildren; Levonte K. Thompson, Shaniya S. Nicholson, William A. Nicholson, Jailene D. Willard, Jasmine M. Nicholson, Willie C. Nicholson Jr., Iyanna Q. Nicholson, Lekendrick M. Nicholson, and John-Elliot D. Willard Jr.; 2 sisters; Betty Jean Wallace, Cleveland, OH and Fannie (Donald) Leverett, Sr., Yantley, AL; 2 brothers; Rufus Wallace Jr., Cleveland, OH and Samuel (Betty) Wallace, Pushmataha, AL, and long-time devoted friend, Curtis DeLoach; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
