Deacon Quincy Albert Brooks was born April 16, 1948 to the late Tommie Brooks Sr. and the late Ora Lee Jones-Brooks in Barlow Bend. He transitioned from this earthly realm to rest with God eternally Aug. 29, 2021.

He confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church in Barlow Bend. He united with the Little Burrah Baptist Church of Manila in 2013, under the leadership of the Rev. Jimmy Snell. On April 27, 2014, he was ordained as a deacon and fulfilled his spiritual duties until his health failed.

He was employed for nearly 20 years at Jackson Saw Mill, until he an accident left him on disability. But he refused to just be home sitting down. He became a jack of all trades and enjoyed carpentry and doing other handy-man jobs around his community and abroad.
