My mother, Mrs. Pushpaben T. Parikh, passed away early in the morning on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in her sleep through natural causes due to advance age. She was going on 94 and lived a full and exemplary life. A parent’s demise at any age leaves a big vacuum in your life, but a true tribute would be to, instead of being consumed in sorrow, cherish her memories and celebrate her legacy.
My mother was a very big perfectionist, disciplinarian, and made sure to fulfill every need of her seven kids. There was no “but”, “if”, or room for any compromise. I am the youngest baby in our big family, so I saw her very closely juggle her daily chores in her early days to be the solid rock for our family. Even though our Parikh Parivar is a close knit and caring family, there is no match for her intensities and the sacrifices she made toward this family. Our true tribute would be to cherish and recognize contributions Mother made in your life.
That day as per our Hindu Calendar is a very auspicious day, Chaitra Sud Atham, a very lucky soul. Now she is in the great care of Goddess Amba Ma and in company of my late father.
